Naming Day / Christening Day - Either way a Special Day!

When my children were small, we only had the choice of a Christening Day, however now lots of my customers and friends have chosen to have a 'naming day', which I guess has the same sentiment, in that friends and family gather to join in this special day for the special baby or child.

So with this in mind, and because I have been asked to add Naming Day bibs to our collection, well now we have. They are not yet on the website so this really is an exclusive!

I have also made naming day bunting which can have the name of the lucky recipient on - one letter on each pennant!

When you think about it, whatever the outfit the baby/child is wearing probably was made with love, is a family heirloom or has cost quite a bit of money, so it makes sense to enhance this with a fabulous bib.

Hope you like them!

Kindest Regards

Spring has Sprung!

Well its still chilly outside but the sun is shining and my tubs and pots around the garden are growing!

I have been watching on TV The Delicious Miss Dahl (Sophie Dahls new cooking programme) which is truly wonderful. Her new book will definately be on my reading list. It has also inspired me to put bunting onto the website. It is amazing how some shabby chic bunting can make a dreary corner a cheery corner.

I have also decided to have a go at knitting some cushion covers from ribbons and silks. Depending on how they come along these too may make an appearance on the site soon.

My great nephew Aaron will be joining us for Sunday Lunch and of course the morning will start with an Easter Egg Hunt! The children love it and I am sure they will all help Aaron along as he is only 19 months old! Later today I shall endeavour to make and embroider a material bucket suitably adorned with a Easter theme.

Whatever you are doing this Easter Weekend, Have a Happy Peaceful one, and relax and enjoy some quality time with your family!

Well I haven;t posted for a while as it has been very busy. I really do enjoy having my time at the Friday market, it is great to be able to meet like minded people and to have time to speak to my customers. The downside is it is very cold at 7am when you are trying to put up your stall!

Working from home can be very solitary, however I like the fact that I have my lovely room to work from and it truly is 'my space' messy or tidy, I love it!

I hope you all had a great Mothers Day, I did! Very spoilt and had a lovely weekend with my family and we also celbrated Grandpa's Birthday!

I will be listing some new handmade jewellery and brooches, embroided of course! Not a pandora bead in site! I promise!

We managed to spend two hours gardening as a family on Sunday and it is great to see the first signs of Spring with the bulbs peeking through. I am re-potting all of my tubs - just doing two or three a day and it is certainly making the view from my window a lot more pretty!

Well have a great weekend. Best Wishes Ellie

Phew! That was sooooooooooooo Busy

Well it has been ages since I last posted, this was a combination of time of year, Christmas, website being very very busy and re-opening my Ebay shop.

We also had a few family dramas and lots of trips to the hospital as Mark my husband was very unwell. Sadly after five years all clear, his cancer has returned and we have the added complication that he also has sarcoid. He will start his cancer treatment in January and then chemo.

So in the New Year myself and a group of friends will be launching a just giving site to raise funds for our local hospital's oncology unit. More details of this will follow. We are all very strong and positive, we have fought cancer before and we will do it again.

Now onto more positive things, well lots will be happening, Never Forget is expanding and a whole new range of products are going to be launched towards the end of January.

Both my Ebay shop and the website will have special offers with all monies rasied going direct to the appeal.

I hope you have all managed to have quality time with friends and loved ones and have a great Christmas time and would like to to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Healthy and Happy New Year.
